Early life

Arjun Kapoor was born into a Punjabi family, on June 26, 1985 in Bombay, Maharashtra. He is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood movies. Arjun is the son of film producers Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor, the nephew of actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, the stepson of actress Sridevi, and the half-brother of actress Janhvi Kapoor. He was 11 years old when his father separated from his mother.
His mother died in 2012. However, after Sridevi died in 2018, his relationship with his half-sisters Khushi and Jahnvi improved. Kapoor also spoke about the bullying he faced after Boney’s marriage to Sridevi. His maternal grandmother, Sattee Shourie, who was very supportive of him, also died in 2016.
Kapoor was educated at the Arya Vidya Mandir School in Mumbai, which he attended until the eleventh grade. After failing his eleventh grade exams, he dropped out of school.
Kapoor initially worked as an assistant director on his father’s productions No Entry (2005) and Wanted (2009).
He made his acting debut through the 2012 hit action romance Ishaqzaade and went on to appear in several other films, including the crime drama Gunday (2014), the coming-of-age romantic comedy 2 States (2014), and the satire Ki & Ka (2016). ).

1) In 2016, it was reported that Arjun handed over INR 1 lakh bill to his producers after partying and consuming alcohol every night while filming Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’.
2) In early 2017, the BMC sent a notice to Arjun after he invaded the terrace of his building by building a 30×16 square foot glass and brick room without permission. Arjun’s manager met with the courtroom officer and asked for more time to regularize the irregularities, but when no more time was given, the BMC issued a notice asking Arjun to demolish the structure. Later, civic corps officials dismantled his gym equipment and demolished the illegal addition to Arjun’s residence.

• He is famous for his bromance with actor Ranveer Kapoor in his film Gundey. But they both knew each other long before the movie, since Ranveer is the Sonam Kapoor’s maternal cousin, who is Arjun’s cousin.
• Arjun Kapoor’s mother wanted him to become an actor and when he was cast in his first film, his mother was teary-eyed and she thanked Salman Khan for her guidance. Unfortunately, she was unable to see him on screen as he died just two months before the release of his debut film.
